Dog Humping Dispute Leads to Human Assault at Seattle Dog Park
Often the problems at dog parks are not the dogs, but the humans, as we saw this week at Plymouth Pillars off-leash area, where the humping of a mini poodle led to an all out brawl, from the sounds of it. COLA is dedicated to bringing more education and signage to Seattle dog parks to help out what we see as the problem — people don’t speak to each other early and often when becoming upset. Once communication starts, they’re already at their boiling point. Screaming matches aren’t needed most of the time — just speak up, clearly, and calmly. And if that doesn’t work, move to another part of the park or leave for the day. Unfortunately, Plymouth Pillars is a little small for the former option:
